Esther’s stunning debut EP ‘Overthrone’ is out now
ESTHER release their stunning debut EP ‘Overthrone’ on July 22nd
Single ‘As One’ out now.
This wonderful, lilting and ridiculously catchy track is a phenomenal showcase of ESTHER’s talents and with their new EP ‘Overthrone’, huge things are expected from this South Coast band.
New and reformed in 2016, ESTHER represents the comeback of 4-piece Audioshock, a lovechild of acts such as Placebo, Foals, The Editors & Enter Shikari. The band sees original Audioshock members Jack Kinden & Max Minus (Vox/Keys) welcome new members Arron Moss (Bass) & Ross Standen (Drums) in a new venture which retains their synth-driven wall-of-sound whilst incorporating heavier & darker rock influences.
ESTHER’s first single ‘As One’ is released on 24th June, with their first EP ‘Overthrone’ to follow in July. The track seeks to be a festival highlight in 2016, incorporating an upbeat, happy-go-lucky vibe with eerie and dark overtones, bringing over their loyal fan base from previous entity Audioshock. Currently self-sufficient ESTHER are setting the foundations for their new tracks with a bank of music videos, press photos, band branding and continually improving their live show through recording, playback and feedback.
ESTHER’s debut tracks were recorded at Hidden Track Studios in collaboration with Oliver Craggs (Feed the Rhino), introducing a new and innovative approach to the electronic rock hybrid. ESTHER’s incorporation of projection & visuals into their live show only heightens the hair-raising and hard-hitting sound they aim to create, seeking to intrigue fans of all music genres even at this very early stage.
Past achievements as Audioshock has seen the band gain support from industry platforms such as Fearne Cotton, Greg James, Scott Mills & Annie Mac (R1), Dermot O’Leary (R2), BBC Introducing (locally & nationally), public Facebook recommendation from Chris Martin of multiplatinum band Coldplay (“Great new band……keep your eyes on these guys”).
The band’s tracks have also attracted the attention of artists in the electronic scene, with remixes by XKore being aired by Modestep on Mistajam’s Daily Dose of Dubstep (R1).
Previous live performances in the UK and Europe have seen the band supporting acts such as Steve Aoki, Friction, Pendulum and Nathan Connolly of Snow Patrol. And have gained praise from the likes of Annie Nightingale.
