Lyric Video for ‘Through These Eyes’: https://youtu.be/t_fdpcOxyH8

Their monster third album ‘Born A Dying Breed’ will be released on 3rd Nov and it sees the band really ramping things up a notch, huge chunky hard rock tracks intermingled with some sublime songs showcasing their lighter touch, this truly is a fabulous album and should see them rise through the ranks with speed.

Northants rockers STORMBRINGER formed in summer 2011 when founding members Jon Quantrill, Dom Wallace, Ash Smith and Darren McCullagh got together to write and create what would become the 2013 debut album ‘MMXIII’, recorded with vocalist Mike Stockley. A mix of classic rock and heavy metal with a contemporary edge saw Stormbringer quickly set themselves apart.
After successful years gigging including shows at Download Festival and a main stage appearance at Bloodstock Open Air Festival, inspiration and determination was high when work began on what would be their second album. Jimi Brown replaced the vocals in the line-up and became part of the band late 2014, completing the recording of ‘Blood and Rust’, released in Oct 2015. Stormbringer would carry on to feature on Scuzz TV, in Metal Hammer magazine and would complete gigs, tours and shows all over the UK.
Their latest album ‘Born a Dying Breed’ is released through Attic Records on November 3rd 2017 kicking off a November/December tour. Jamie Peters joins the band on guitar completing the line-up that delivers STORMBRINGER’s all-out live show.

Johannes Luley (Moth Vellum/Perfect Beings) releases stunning new album QITARA.

“QITARA” reunites Moth Vellum founding members.
Ryan Downe joins Perfect Beings guitarist Johannes Luley on his new album “QITARA”, released worldwide on September 15th through My Sonic Temple. 10 years after the release of legendary prog band Moth Vellum’s only album, fans are still writing in to request a reunion. “QITARA” is the closest thing to date, as it brings together vocalist/bassist Ryan Downe and guitarist Johannes Luley. With his current band Perfect Beings, Luley has over the past few years cemented his reputation as a rising star of the US prog-scene.

“QITARA”, his second solo effort, takes a sharp turn towards Jazz-Rock, one of the styles of music he grew up with. On this new album he shines once again as an innovative guitarist and producer. Elton John protégé Ryan Downe co-wrote the track “Sister Six”, an homage to the guitar. The title indicates that the same can be said for the record as a whole.

Asides from Downe, “QITARA” features an impressive list of additional guest players:
Katisse Buckingham (Herbie Hancock, Andy Summers, Prince)
Otmaro Ruiz (Jon Anderson, John McLaughlin, Arturo Sandoval, Gino Vanelli)
Michael Hunter (Tom Petty, Stanley Clarke, Lenny Kravitz)
Scott Kinsey (Joe Zawinul, Robben Ford)

The eleven songs on QITARA are sure to please Moth Vellum and Perfect Beings fans alike, plus the album will likely convince a few hold-outs, that the thread throughout Johannes Luley’s works is defined by excellence in performance and production. It can be best appreciated in the FLAC-HD format (96KHz/24bit audiofile quality), but the album is also available as a hardcopy Digipak CD, MP3 download or on most of the popular streaming services.

Fred Beaulieu wrote on Facebook:
“Absolutely stunning. Restlessly innovative, aggressive in the exploration of new sonic possibilities, and always anchored by strong melodic backbones. The musicianship on this album is out of this world, and the songwriting is top notch. Fluid open arrangements give everyone a chance to shine.”

BLACKMORE’S NIGHT release their single ‘Wish You Were Here’

The song ‘Wish You Were Here’, which is being promoted as their new Christmas single, is a wonderful cover version of the Rednex song, beautifully interpreted by Candice and embellished by Ritchie’s distinctive guitar-playing.

Blackmore’s Night release their re-mastered 2CD Edition of their Christmas album ‘Winter Carols’ on 20th October with 3 brand new bonus tracks!  The festive season is a particularly special time for Ritchie Blackmore and Candice Night, not least because many traditional Christmas songs originate from medieval times, which are so dear to them. The album also contains ‘Christmas Eve’, Blackmore’s Night’s previous Christmas single (from 2013) in different versions, and finally, this 2017 remastered edition in a 2CD Jewel case contains three brand new bonus tracks: ‘Deck The Halls’, ‘God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen’ and ‘O Christmas Tree’.
